Que?

October 19, 2007

“Universal Pictures will make a film based on the life and death of iconic musician Kurt Cobain, Variety reports. The film studio has bought the rights to the Charles Cross-penned biography of the deceased singer, Heavier than Heaven, and has hired David Benioff (25th Hour, Troy) to write the script.Cobain’s troubled widow, Courtney Love, will executive produce the film, among others.”

I hope she won’t have a big say in this project. We’ll see how it turns out, but I am fairly certain they’ll keep the last days of his life free of any “conspiracy theories” that might taint or damage a certain someone. Or how miserable she made him. I hope they stay true to the rest at least, they have to be.

Like many others that are around my age now, I spent countless days listening to Nirvana when growing up.

Classified

October 17, 2007

Classified is a Canadian hip-hop artist. He’s been around for quite a while but his last few albums have really been great. It’s what i would call “conscious rap”, ie. the lyrics actually mean something. The quirky thing about him, aside from being white, is that he’s from the Maritimes, which is the last place you’d expect to find a rapper. It’s full of fishermen over there.

Anyway, if you like hip hop, check him out, he has skills. http://www.urbnet.com/classified/go.html

Melvins + Store

October 16, 2007

I actually added a store section to my site, so it’s a little easier to figure out what prints are available. Go some posters and art prints!

Also, the site now actually works the way it should in IE instead of creating havoc and frustration.

Radiohead has created another masterpiece with In Rainbows, and you can pay whatever you want for it. So go buy it now. Best album since Kid A in my opinion, which says a lot.
